Obituary of Theodore Fuschetti, formerly of Bedford
Theodore J. Fuschetti, known to loved ones and friends as “Teddy,” passed away on February 14, 2018, at the age of 85. Ted was most recently a resident of North Fort Myers Florida, and former long-time resident of Bedford and West Newfield, ME.
He was a loving husband to Frances (Arena) Fuschetti for 62 years and is lovingly remembered by his family: Nancy Chilton and her husband Wayne of Chelmsford; the late Steven Fuschetti and his wife Margret of Chelmsford; and Diane Davis and her husband Forrest of Fitchburg; and by his seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Teddy will also be forever remembered and loved by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
A native of Medford, he joined the U.S. Navy after graduating from Medford High, and was stationed in Brunswick, Georgia and patrolled the U.S. border in a blimp during the Korean War. After his Naval career, he joined and helped grow Salvi Ford in Cambridge, MA where he became the Lead Sales Manager and fostered his passion for cars, old and new. He was a devoted family man, and fond memories of summer vacations spent on Little John Island in Falmouth, Maine hold comfort for his loved ones. He was a car enthusiast, keen card player and had a great sense of humor.
Upon retiring from Raytheon in Bedford, Ted and Fran moved to West Newfield, Maine and built a beautiful log home where they enjoyed spending time with their children and grandchildren. They moved permanently to N. Fort Myers last September.
Visiting hours will be held in Shawsheen Funeral Home on Wednesday June 13th from 5:00 - 8:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ted’s memory can be made to the Fisher House, 1400 VFW Parkway, West Roxbury, MA 02132 or go to www.fisherhouseboston.org. Fisher House provides veterans and military families with housing close to a loved one in the hospital for an illness, disease or injury.
