Kimberly Allison (Hegdahl) Trimble of Billerica died August 28, 2019.
Kim was born December 31, 1952. Originally from the suburbs of Minneapolis, Kim spent her childhood years in Greenbay, Wisconsin and Philadelphia before her family settled in the Boston area.
Known for her sharp wit and ribald sense of humor, Kim made friends easily and always made people laugh. She made incredibly strong friendships throughout her life and was fiercely loving and protective of her family and friends.
A rabid Patriots fan, Kim hosted many a Superbowl party and frequently attended Pat’s home games. She had a keen interest in history, Japanese culture and animation, war movies, making doll houses, arranging silk flowers and knitting afghan blankets.
Kim was a person of the earth, a pagan and a believer in the sprits of nature. She embraced the traditions of her Nordic ancestors, the animist beliefs of her husband’s Native ancestors and later in her life came to love the sprits and stories found in Japanese Shinto.
She was an incredibly resilient, determined and tenacious person and in the words of her husband “probably the toughest person I’ve ever known." She will be sorely missed by all that had the honor to know her.
Kim is survived by her husband of 19 years Ransom Trimble and their two cats.
Following Funeral Services, she was buried in Lowell.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Kim’s memory to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 15829, Arlington, VA 22215 or https://www.diabetes.org/donate/donate-memorial are appreciated.
